    Shotgun Expert. It's good to 40 yards every time with Winchester Super XX 3" 4s is much easier to carry and works! Sure, if I was a prophet I would have patterned at 37 yards. With my setup, I'm good out to 50 yds.

    Don't know the exact name. More shot does not mean more pattern or more lethality. My Mossberg likes Federal Premium 5s, but yours could like any number of others.

    You should use a turkey load, not a target load. I can't see paying the big bucks for all of those fancy gimick chokes that have come out. It is expensive like you said to try all this stuff but I would start with the Hevi and work my way down.

    I know that a gun with an effective pattern at fifty yards can kill at twenty but what is an ideal pattern and should you select load and choke to match your expected shot or to multiple shots?

    1. I think the thread patterns are the same with the Nova. I also use the "brutal" Fed Premium 2 oz loads with 4.

    2. I was shooting an average of pellets in a 10"circle at 40 yards with the Hevi choke and Hevi shells.
